Lobo de Rizzo continues to invest in expansion by adding an Environmental Law expert
Besides the reinforcements already announced in Infrastructure, Capital Market and Intellectual Property, the law firm announced the arrival of Renata Pires Castanho to improve the Environmental area
Despite the recent years of economic instability in Brazil, Lobo de Rizzo continues to expand its structure and strengthen its practice areas. After announcing the arrival of four new partners in 2018, the firm confirmed the addition of the law firm Pires Castanho, expert in Environmental Law. As a result, Renata Pires Castanho and her team arrived to set a more complete service platform in that segment.
“Considering our organic growth and the professionals we hired in 2018, we increased our team of lawyers by approximately 30%. This move reflects our belief in the resumption of the Brazilian growth and, therefore, we are looking ahead and investing in the expansion of our team and in the diversification of the services we offer”, explains Rodrigo Delboni Teixeira, Managing Partner of Lobo de Rizzo. “Renata’s arrival will provide our clients with a partner exclusively engaged in Environmental Law, which represents a great reinforcement to our capabilities, mainly in Environmental Litigation issues”, Teixeira concludes.
Renata Pires Castanho holds a Law Degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). She has 20 years of experience, both in legal and institutional assistance in the Litigation and Consulting areas, both in the Civil and Administrative areas. She is also an expert in Environmental Management from the University of São Paulo (USP), and holds an MA in Civil Procedural Law by the same institution.
“We wanted to expand our services and we identified synergies in a partner who has shared, for over 10 years, the same view that brought Pires Castanho here: to offer the best legal solutions with the active participation of the partners and a customized service to each client”, says Renata.
Recently, Lobo de Rizzo announced the arrival of four other partners, which strengthened its team with professionals who have specific experiences and the necessary expertise to offer solutions that are more complete.
Rodnei Iazzetta added an integrated view to Infrastructure area, the result of over 23 years of experience in the sector. With a team totally engaged in projects pertaining to sanitation, public lightning, subway, train and road transportation, airports, ports, electric power and health, among other areas, his expertise includes all kinds of interfaces necessary to the modelling, grant and management of concessions contracted under all kinds of regimes.
In order to improve both Financial and Capital Markets, Lobo de Rizzo also brought Paula Magalhães and Caio Cossermelli, who expanded the Law Firm’s practice in regulatory matters pertaining to the listed companies, which have specific regulation and require a high level of expertise.
Finally, the current legislative changes regarding Intellectual Property and the increase of the consultations about the protection of patents encouraged the reinforcement of the IP team with the hiring of Ana Paula Celidonio, who came with major expertise in patent matters.
