Permanent Offer: ANP Opens 6th Cycle of the OPC and 4th Cycle of the OPP with an Expanded Portfolio of Assets

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP) published, on May 22, 2026, the schedules for the 6th Cycle of the Permanent Concession Offer (OPC) and the 4th Cycle of the Permanent Production Sharing Offer (OPP), formalizing the opening of a new phase of the main bidding model for oil and natural gas exploration and production in Brazil.

The cycles include public sessions to determine the winning bidders in the areas previously indicated through expressions of interest.

Under the concession regime, 495 exploration blocks and 5 areas with marginal accumulations may be offered, while under the production sharing regime, 23 exploration blocks in basins with high geological potential are available.

The bidding rounds begin upon approval by the Special Bidding Commission (CEL) of the declaration of interest submitted by interested companies.

4th Cycle of the OPP
The call for bids covers 23 exploration blocks, which have also undergone prior environmental feasibility analysis in accordance with CNPE Resolution No. 17/2017.
