SPA Ordinance No. 566/2025, published on March 20, 2025, now regulates the enforcement of Article 21 of the Fixed-Odds Betting Law (Federal Law No. 14,790/23), establishing rules to prevent financial and payment institutions from processing transactions intended for Unauthorized Bets. The Banking and Payments practice at Lobo de Rizzo reminds Brazilian companies receiving Foreign Direct Investments (the so-called Investimento Estrangeiro Direto – “IED”) to comply with the requirement to submit the Annual Periodic Declaration to the Central Bank of Brazil (“BCB”) for the 2024 calendar year by March 31, 2025.Who must file?
