A Latin Lawyer falou sobre as recentes contratações de sócios-gestores do Lobo de Rizzo em notícia publicada hoje (15): Brazil’s Lobo de Rizzo hires three partners Fredrik Karlsson | 15 June 2018 Lobo de Rizzo Advogados, after an early hire in January, has added partners again, recruiting three lawyers to strengthen the firm’s capital markets and IP practices. Caio Cossermelli and Paula Magalhães, both 38, joined the firm’s capital markets practice on 12 June. They arrive from Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown, where they often teamed up on national and international capital markets deals, such as the first Brazilian banking IPO in a decade. Cossermelli and Magalhães left Tauil & Chequer on good terms says managing partner Alexandre Chequer, who adds that the firm is in search of replacements. “We are always looking to hire highly qualified partners to enhance our well-known capabilities and it is natural that we will hire more partners to expand our corporate and securities group.” The firm has 32 partners following the departures. Lobo de Rizzo has also hired Ana Paula Celidonio, 50, to head its IP practice. Celidonio joined on 9 May from IP boutique Gusmão & Labrunie. Her practice focuses on protecting large multinational and Brazilian companies’ technological developments. She also advises on pharmaceutical and agricultural regulations. Gusmão & Labrunie’s managing partner Jacques Labrunie declined to comment on Celidonio’s departure, but says the firm has a good group of lawyers and will invest in its future through organic growth. The boutique has 10 partners. All three Lobo de Rizzo hires join the firm’s São Paulo office, taking the firm’s total partner count to 26, of which eight are women. This is in line with the average number of female partners in Brazil. Latin Lawyer’s most recent women in law survey found 30% of Brazilian law firm partners are women. “We do not only want to grow organically but also by adding qualification, experience and expertise in legal areas that are demanded by clients,” says Lobo de Rizzo’s managing partner Rodrigo Delboni Teixeira. “The hires perfectly fit with this profile, as they expand and strengthen our services for current and new clients,” he adds. These are not the only partner hires Lobo de Rizzo has made this year. The firm started 2018 by hiring a project finance partner from Arap, Nishi & Uyeda Advogados. Brazilian Latin Lawyer 250 firms have made 28 partner hires so far in 2018. Out of these, seven were made in corporate law. Prior to Lobo de Rizzo's latest additions, there has only been one hire by separate 250-listed firms of a capital markets lawyer and an IP lawyer. Fonte: Latin Lawyer
